It is a requirement that all persons working in gambling venue (in the gaming area) must hold a responsible gambling services competency card issued by Liquor & Gaming NSW.
Refresher training is required every 5 years.
This course can be referred to as by many names - RCG / RGS etc. however the correct name of this RCG NSW course is SITHGAM001 Provide responsible gambling services.
This RCG course is delivered by TCP Training.
How to enrol

This course is delivered in English with all assessments being conducted in English. We provide reading material for learning and there are a variety of assessments student must complete including spoken and written in English. If your English is not at a level which will allow you to complete assessments on your own due to your Language, Literacy or Numeracy skills, please contact our office on 02 9232 1010 to discuss your training needs.
All students must complete the classroom assessment activities to successfully pass the RCG NSW course. Classroom activities include working in groups, role play, case study questions, workbooks and knowledge assessment questions. This course is delivered in a fun group environment, by our highly experienced trainers.
During this six (6) hour RCG course, you will learn:
- Policies and Procedures
- Strategies to identify and assist those with gambling addictions

If you successfully complete all assessments, you will be issued a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for SITHGAM001 Provide responsible gambling services and the Liquor & Gaming NSW interim certificate. With the interim certificate, students can work immediately in any venue across NSW for up to 90 days. Before the interim certificate expires, you need to go to a Service NSW office to apply for the Liquor & Gaming NSW Competency Card.
